Phase 3: Adding the Roof

The third phase involves adding a roof over the rink, significantly enhancing its usability throughout the
year. In winter, the roof will reduce sun exposure and minimize ice melt, ensuring a consistently high-
quality ice surface for skating and hockey. During the summer months, the roof will provide shade,
making the rink an ideal venue for various sports like pickleball, basketball, and badminton, protecting
players from sun and rain. Overall, a roof will extend the rink’s usability, protect it from weather-related
wear and tear, and create a more comfortable and versatile space for community activities year-round.
