Want to see how energy efficient your home is compared to your Brookview neighbours? Enter the first ever Brookview Energuide Challenge and win up to $500! There are two rounds to the competition. Here are the details:
Round 1 (Ends December 31, 2022)
Step 1: Get your home assessed by an approved Energuide assessor to see what your home’s energy efficiency is and where improvements can be made. The cost for this assessment varies depending on the size of your home (expect more than $400) and it’s probably best to get 2-3 quotes.
Step 2: Once your assessment is completed, send your Energuide Label (see picture above) to sustainability@brookviewcommunityleague.ca by December 31, 2022. Please ensure your label has the address and the rated energy intensity, along with your name and contact email in the response. You will then be entered into the competition and eligible for Round 1’s prizes. You’ll be able to see your score and how it ranks against your neighbours! All Brookview homeowners that have previously completed an Energuide assessment are eligible to enter.
Prizes: 1st Place ($350), 2nd Place ($150), 3rd Place ($50)
Round 2 (Ends December 31, 2023)
Step 1: Complete upgrades that would improve your home’s energy efficiency and conduct a post-upgrade Energuide Assessment.
Step 2: Similar to Round 1, send your Energuide Label (see picture above) to sustainability@brookviewcommunityleague.ca by December 31, 2023. Please ensure your label has the address and the rated energy intensity, along with your name and contact email in the response. You will then be entered into the competition and eligible for Round 2’s prizes.
Prizes: 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($250), 3rd Place ($100)
